Sherri Baby

No, she's not a baby, but she's my Sherri, forever and ever. I apologize now for my sad face, I was really mournful for the lack of time that we had together, or didn't have together? Anyway, there just wasn't enough time. Sherri was a very good friend of mine while "in the world" during the years of 1992 and 1993. We've both ended up on the right side of things, by different means.
It was amazing to see her, still taller and thinner, still always smiling, and still blowing me over with her beauty.
What a great two hours we had. Wish it could've been more, but alas, she lives on the other side of our great country....

her wonderful hubby joined us for this one...

it was like a second, and a million years, had passed between us. We picked up where we left off, but in our NEW worlds...

Then Sherri said "let's do something crazy" which in the old world would be something illegal and VERY dangerous, but in THIS world, this is what we came up with....

The two hours went by WAY TOO FAST, and if I think about how FAST it went I will start crying again, seriously. So instead I'll post this picture that Noah took (as he took the rest). I love this one, it shows my big man, my big face, and my great friend Sherri.

to close it all up, here is what the boys did while Sherri and I and Mike chatted. They gathered rocks....

Autumn Sun

After a week of rain and clouds and snotty noses all around, I wanted to see something fresh and sunny. These pictures are from last week, little did we know Ida was coming up to marry a nor'easter storm! I'm so glad we got out when we did though.
Noah enjoys the sunshine and warmth.

Pay it forward

I will make a handmade gift for the first 3 interested people who comment on this post. I have 365 days to do it in. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise!

The catch is that you must participate as well: you must have a blog and before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Just cut and paste this one if you like, which I did. Leave me your blog addy or email so I can contact you for your snail mail when your homespun is ready to go.

chore chart

Do you have cute little beans that like to see their name on papers and like to put check marks next to their accomplishments? Then see this blog, and the free, customized, printable chore chart. I've just printed up four, one for each of my guys, and will put them in page protectors and use dry erase markers so we can reuse them each week. Enjoy!

I cut my hair!

My Face Book friends have already seen this, but not everybody so here goes! I did this last Saturday night, it took about 20-30 minutes. I cut the perimiter first, then went back and cut in the layers, starting at the back and working my way forward. I am LOVING it!

Just me

Just me

Made of Clay

I have a beautiful and crazy life. I am the lucky gal who gets to be married to Scott for 14 years so far.We have four handsome young men given to us by God. I homeschool the oldest three boys and try to keep the youngest busy NOT coloring on the walls. I am continually working on my organizational skills. I am learning to lean on God for my day to day living. I am a work in progress. I am clay in the Masters Hands.
